What Personal Data We Collect
- Enquiry details you send us through the contact form or by email or phone, your name, email address, phone number, type of enquiry and the content of your message.
- Correspondence and any documents you choose to share with us about a site, scheme or query.
- Technical data, see our Cookie Policy. This website uses only strictly-necessary cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. We keep a count of how often each page is viewed, but that count holds no personal data: no cookie, no IP address, and no record of any individual visit, only running totals per page. It is stored on our own server and no third party receives it.
Why We Use It, and Our Lawful Basis
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or professional services you ask for, lawful basis: taking steps at your request prior to, and performance of, a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To administer and improve our services and this website, legitimate interests.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations (for example tax and professional record-keeping), legal obligation.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your data.
Who We Share It With
We share personal data only where necessary with trusted service providers acting on our behalf, and where required by law. Any such providers are bound to protect your data. Our current providers are:
- Hosting Ireland (Ireland), website hosting.
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online), email hosting. Data is processed in accordance with Microsoft's GDPR commitments, with EU data residency where applicable.
- Formspree, Inc. (United States), delivers contact-form messages to our inbox. Transfers outside the EEA are protected by appropriate safeguards, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Where you engage us on a project, professional consultants on your project team (for example architects or engineers), only the information needed for the work.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry and client data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our legal and professional obligations. As a rule: general enquiries that do not become client work are deleted after 12 months; client project records are retained for 7 years after the project concludes, in line with professional and tax requirements.
Your Rights
Under data-protection law you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time.
